Ingredients:

·         Basmati rice (soaked for 30 minutes)

·         Green peas (fresh or frozen)

·         Paneer (cubed)

·         Ghee or vegetable oil

·         Onion (chopped)

·         Ginger-garlic paste

·         Tomatoes (chopped)

·         Ground coriander powder

·         Cumin powder

·         Turmeric powder

·         Garam masala powder

·         Salt to taste

·         Chopped fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)


Cooking Process:

·      Heat ghee or oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

·      Add chopped onions and saute until translucent.

·      Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.

·      Add chopped tomatoes and cook until softened.

·  Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder. Saute for a minute.

·    Add green peas and paneer cubes. Cook for a couple of minutes.

·  Add soaked basmati rice and enough water (check your rice package for water ratio). Season with salt.

·    Close the pressure cooker and cook for 2 whistles or until the rice is cooked through.

·     Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.

·     For a richer flavor, you can add cashew paste or almond paste along with the tomatoes.
